The Biodiversity Heritage Library contains digital versions of important works of biodiversity literature. These digital versions are made up of a series of files such as JPEG2000 image files, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) text files and XML metadata files. The Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL) is an open-access resource that makes biodiversity literature available to the world. Through the BHL you can access hundreds of thousands of volumes, made up of over 60 million pages, from the 15th-21st centuries. The Botany Libraries and Ernst Mayr Library are both contributing members of the BHL.Grace Costantino served as the Outreach and Communication Manager for the Biodiversity Heritage Library from 2014 to 2021.
