About Coaching for Literacy. Founded in 2013 by two then-high school students, Coaching for Literacy aims to raise awareness of and support solutions to the widespread problem of illiteracy. It began, in the first year of LETRS training for teachers, with 29 coaches covering 50 schools and grew, at its peak, to 80 coaches covering 182 schools.
