First check what codes are stored in PCM (powertrain control module) with a scan tool. I suspect P0128 is the code. Next with engine off and cold check the engine coolant level to make sure it is full on antifreeze. If coolant level is full and p0128 is present, you likely need to replace the thermostat.Remember the locking tab of the sensor is up.
