I love the 135/1.8 GM but to me it was even more specialized than the Batis. The latter at ~600 grams can be used for everything from portraits, travel and landscapes. I had a chance to spend a week in Yellowstone this winter. It was amazingly as always. It was candidly a little slower than in the past but still a wonderful time. I'd be going for the lighter and smaller Tamron 70-180 f2.8 G2 over the Sigma 70-200. Everyone is different for sure. They are only seperated by $200 price wise. But the Tarmon is 1lb lighter and 2 inches shorter, of course that being not extended. One pound might not sound like a lot unless you are hiking several miles.…
