Connellsville, PA. Mar 26, 2023. #1. Attached is a picture of a 727 we built last weekend with a gear vendors overdrive unit. It is going in a 1970 Challenger (beautiful car) behind a W9 small block. Pure street car but should make a lot of power. The 727 has a good bit of upgrades. All the parts were supplied by A&A Transmission.Overdrive is the first reason you are going to add the Gear Vendors. 28.6% faster cruising speeds than you have now. Your 4.10 gears will cruise like 3.20s and your 3.55 will cruise like 2.77s. If you are normally aspirated expect 28% better fuel economy. If you have forced induction expect 50% better mpg. Performance is what the Gear Vendors ...Its already .61 in 6th gear. With the Gear Vendors 22% overdrive, you'd be at like 1200rpm on the highway.
