In fort hood we went 5 times a year. I could go on and on. What made it good is I made some amazing friends and been in contact with them even 3 years later. I learned a lot and accomplished a lot as a soldier. After going through hell I know I can strive anywhere I go.Lack of elite units at Hood means high-speed soldiers go to other places to join Group or Regiment or generally avoid Hood for those places to begin with when coming in. This results in a higher percentage of mediocre soldiers and leaders and fewer strong positive influences. Not to say there aren't plenty of good soldiers and leaders out ...Not that it's just a fort hood problem. Even with decent rooms you still have single people wasting their paycheck renting apartments off post because barracks are treated like nunneries.
