The Kansas Authors Club Children’s Book Award was created in 2018 to honor the best book written with an audience of children in mind. An award of $100.00 will be given each year according to the rules printed below. The Children’s Book Award is sponsored in memory of Craig Grant. Craig was a champion of public education.The Kansas Authors Collection at Kenneth Spencer Research Library in Lawrence, includes the Kansas Authors Club Library. Memorabilia stored there, including books published by Kansas Authors Club members, has been collected by the club since 1907. The collection was initially housed at the home of George Morehouse, an officer of the club.
