It is not completly fixed but I had my phone sitting on the counter and noticed full bars and wi fi icon in the app went way out of blue tooth range and it stayed connected. It does keep trying to change back to blue tooth but at least I have not totally lost connection to smoket as of yet1. Jasper. I was setting up the blue tooth to my smoker with the smoke it app. When setting up it would get to step 2 and then pause. I talked to customer service and he finally told me that you can only do that with 2 g since its not 5 g compatible. When I turn my 2 g on and then start the process up again with the 2 g on the wifi on everybody's ...Nothing. Called App Assist and there is no bluetooth signal coming from the controller. This seems to be a trend. For $160+ you might think PitBoss would have some better quality control. It also seems that there is an antenna issue with the units.
