But the game did not tell you to do this. In fact, the game explicitly says "Get to Moonrise asap". If you follow the path that the game lays out, it all works out more or less as expected.

Aug 25, 2023 · So if you meet Oliver before you get the quest and kill his "mom" and "dad" he disappears, and you won't be able to find him when you get the quest. People suggest different ways to fix the quest, but nothing works for me. AOE spells don't reveal him, the same about See Invisibility. Helsin doesn't wanna talk about Oliver as well, and getting him with me to the house doesn't help. Shadow curse quest bugged, not completed by end of act 2. I completed Halsin's quest as far as I could with the shadow curse. I defended the portal and had Thaniel in my camp. The quest log said that the only way to progress was to kill Ketheric Thorm. Well I killed him and the quest is still open.…
