Oct 12, 2011 · Vdara pros and cons. Just returned from Las Vegas for a convention. We chose the Vdara primarily because it doesn't have a casino and it is nonsmoking. It is a beautiful and comfortable hotel, and the rooms are large. It is quiet and has kitchen facilities. It is very nice to be able to have snacks, soft drinks, and breakfast foods in the room. Great spot away from the crowds. Spent 6 nights at the Vdara in April. It was a a great non-smoking, non-gaming hotel close to everything but away from the crowds. Enjoyed having breakfast in our room using the fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Great view of Bellagio Fountains.

The Vdara is a lot nicer in the base rooms that the Venetian and the Venetian only starts to pull ahead when you get into the high end suites, plus it’s on a sprawling excessive property that will become massively tedious while staying for a week.
