First Fire got Heckhound, then wizards, through pets or otherwise, were able to obtain a Storm Hound and Ice Hound spell, though not in unlimited quantities. It gives you 3 sharpen blade cards long before you can get them so makes a good base for custom pets of any type. It's also one of the three most common trained pets in the game, so it's pretty easy to find a hatch with talents you want. TheXboxGuy.For the critical talents, Myth Assailant, Critical Striker, and Myth Striker would be ideal as they can give you ~90 more critical rating (give or take). Of course, you can also mix and match talents. Maybe you would want Spell Proof for 10% universal resist, and then two critical talents, two damage talents, and a damage or critical jewel.Combine the Sun School + Humunogfrog for the most effect.
