Most guys used 30 lb mono in spring / summer - then put on 30lb Monel for late fall / winter. It's a good reel for spring - I'd stick with lighter lures - up to say 10 ozs. Pool noodles are cheap bouys but marking them is a PITA. I got the bullet floats and cut them in half. Used soldering iron and burned name into them all. Then DNR id # thing came into play and just used sharpie.yea i have a 25ft se cc now very very well built boat .....i do think parker does put more into there apperance .....the only problem is id like to have something to get out of the weather on bad days ....so thats why were looking into the privateers as well the parker pilot house 28ft...and the privateer 26 wantchese or the 28 atlantic the privateers are 1ft ……
